Wulingyuan (Chinese: 武陵源; pinyin: Wǔlíng Yuán) is a scenic and historic interest area in Hunan Province, China.

Wulingyuan is a part of Zhangjiajie city, about 270km from the capital of Hunan Province, Changsha. Its latitude and longitude are 29°16'-29°24'N, 110°22'-110°41'E.

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area Attractions

Wulingyuan is famous for its approximately 3,100 tall quartzite sandstone pillars, some over 200 meters in height. These large forest of natural peaks on the several hundred-meter-thick quartz and sandstone base is truly a natural miracle.
