Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Upon your arrival at Beijing airport, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your own leisure.
Day 2: Beijing (B/L/D)
Today you will first visit the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City . A delicious welcome dinner will be arranged for you to taste the local specialty food – Beijing duck.
The Tian'anmen (Gate of Heavenly Peace) Square: the largest city square in the world and the spiritual heart of China .
The Forbidden City : the royal palace of Ming and Qin dynasties. It is also known as the Palace Museum . It is about 600 years old and served as the home of the Emperors and their household from mid-Ming dynasty to the end of the Qin dynasty. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987 and listed as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world by UNESCO.
Day 3: Beijing (B/L)
In the morning, you will visit the Summer Palace . After lunch, you will have the rest of your time to explore this ancient city on your own. Our guide will suggest you some to-do lists, such as tour Lama Temple , shop at Silk Alley or Panjiayuan Flea Market, watch the Peking Opera at night if available, etc.
The Summer Palace : Located about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) to the northwest of downtown Beijing , it was an imperial summer resort of the Qing Dynasty. Known far and wide for its architectural splendor and natural beauty, the Summer Palace is China 's largest Royal garden existed. It is one of the World's cultural heritage site and one of China 's AAAA first-class scenic spots.
Day 4: Beijing (B/L)
Today you will have a full-day tour to the legendary Great Wall of China .
The Great Wall of China: one of the seven wonders of the world, it is the must-see place in China . UNESCO lists it as one of the world's cultural heritage sites. Badaling Great Wall, located in northwest of Beijing , is the most famous Great Wall and popular tourist spot in Beijing , China.
Day 5: Beijing (B/L)
Today you will tour the Temple of Heaven and Beijing 's old Hutong, then flight to Xi'an .
Temple of Heaven : one of the most impressive imperial temples for its perfect fusion of art and architecture. Located in southeast Beijing , it was served as the place where emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties offered sacrifices to their heavenly gods and prayed for a good harvest. It is one of the World's cultural heritage site and one of China 's AAAAA first-class scenic spots.
Beijing 's old Hutong: a narrow alleyway flanked with traditional residential courtyards in Beijing .
Day 6: Xi'an (B/L/D)
Today, you will enjoy a full-day excursion to the amazing life-size Terracotta Warriors and Horses. A delicious dumpling dinner will be arranged for you to enjoy.
Army of Terracotta Warriors and Horses: inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987, it is one of China 's most famous tourist attractions. The museum of Army of Terracotta Warriors lies 1.5 km (0.93 mile) east to the Tomb of Qin First Emperor. There are more than 9000 statues of soldiers which are part of the tremendous mausoleum of China 's first Emperor has been discovered after two thousand years of their underground existence.
Day 7: Xi'an (B/L)
Today you will tour the ancient Xi'an City Wall, Wild Goose Pagoda and the Shaanxi Provincial Museum .
Xi'an City Wall: Located in the central area of Xian city, Xian City Wall is one of the oldest, largest, and best-preserved ancient military defense systems in China and in the world.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda: Situated in the Da Ci'en Temple, and are about 4 kilometers (2.49 miles) south of downtown of the Xian City , the Big Goose Pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. It was built in 652 AD during Tang Dynasty to store the sutras and the figurines of Buddha.
Shaanxi Provincial Museum : the largest comprehensive museum in Shaanxi . The museum exhibits over 3,000 historical relics, most of which are rare treasures.
Day 8: Xi'an – Kunming (B/D)
Today you will take a flight to Kunming , a city known as the “City of forever Spring”. After brief rest, our guide will take you to the historic Western Hill Scenic Area. Dinner will be arranged for you to enjoy the local food and culture.
Day 9: Kunming (B/L)
In the morning, you will visit Jiuxiang Scenic Region. Also named “nine villages” in Chinese, Jiuxiang Scenic Region is a well-equipped comprehensive scenic region which is famous for its caves, mountains, rivers, deep valleys, minority customs and cultures.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Stone Forest . Situated in the Lunan Yu Autonomous County, the Stone Forest of Yunnan is 126 kilometers southeast of Kunming . A region of typical karst formation, the Stone Forest covers an area of 2667 square kilometers. The rising stone peaks and waves of green hills extend as far as eye could see.
Day 10: Kunming - Dali (B/L/D)
You will take a morning flight to Dali, a charming town on the shores of Erhai Lake . You will visit the Old Town Dali, the Triple Pagodas and take a short cruise on Erhai Lake.
Day 11: Dali - Lijiang (B/D)
Morning time is at your leisure and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will take bus to Lijiang through beautiful scenery along the high mountains.
Lijiang is an ancient town that has a long history dated back more than 800 years and was once important trading place along the Old Tea Horse Road .
Day 12: Lijiang (B/L)
Today you will have a walking tour of the ancient town Lijiang, a UNESCO-listed World Cultural Heritage Site, follow by an short trip to Yunshanping or Spruce Meadow, an alpine pasture surrounded by virgin forests at the foot of magnificent Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. You will also stop by an ancient village on the way.
Day 13: Lijiang (B/L/D)
Today you will visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Area, also known as the First Bend of the Yangtze. After the tour, you will take a brief rest. In the evening, you have the option to visit the night scene of the ancient town Lijiang or go to the concert to listen to the ancient Naxi music.
Day 14/Lijiang – Guilin (B/L/D)
Today you will take a flight to Guilin (transfer via Kunming ). Guilin is one of the hottest tourist cities in China . Our guide will transfer you to hotel and the afternoon time will be at your leisure. Our guide will meet you again for dinner to taste the local specialty food. After dinner, a night cruise has been arranged for you for sight-seeing the city's night scene around Guilin 's beautiful lakes and rivers.
Day 15/Guilin -Yangshuo (B/L)
Day cruise on Li River. The Li River meanders through miles of beautiful countryside from Guilin to Yangshuo. The unique scenery of bamboo greens, rocky cliffs, various shapes of stones and caves along with the clear water has make the Li River sightseeing the highlights of Guilin trip. When you arrive in Yangshuo, take a stroll in the West Street to experience this beautiful and relaxing small old town appealing style. Afterwards, you will take the bus back to Guilin .
Day 16: Guilin (B)
In the morning you will tour Elephant Trunk Hill and Fubo Hill, Reed Flute Cave . The rest of the time will be free at you leisure.
Day 17: Guilin – Shanghai (B/L/D)
Take a morning flight to Shanghai , known as “Paris of China”, Pearl of the Orient, city of quick riches. The fast economic expansion in the past decade has made Shanghai the modern city as it is today.
Upon arrival, you will visit Shanghai Museum and the beautiful Yuyuan Garden . Afterwards, you will have some free time to stroll along the Bund - a waterfront promenade famous for its European style landmark buildings.
Day 18: Departure from Shanghai (B)
