Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Upon your arrival at Beijing airport, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your own leisure.
Day 2: Beijing (B/L/D)
Today you will first visit the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City . A delicious welcome dinner will be arranged for you to taste the local specialty food – Beijing duck.
The Tian'anmen (Gate of Heavenly Peace) Square: the largest city square in the world and the spiritual heart of China .
The Forbidden City : the royal palace of Ming and Qin dynasties. It is also known as the Palace Museum . It is about 600 years old and served as the home of the Emperors and their household from mid-Ming dynasty to the end of the Qin dynasty. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987 and listed as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world by UNESCO.
Day 3: Beijing (B/L/D)
In the morning, you will visit the Summer Palace . After lunch, you will have the rest of your time to explore this ancient city on your own. Our guide will suggest you some to-do lists, such as tour Lama Temple , shop at Silk Alley or Panjiayuan Flea Market, watch the Peking Opera at night if available, etc.
The Summer Palace : Located about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) to the northwest of downtown Beijing , it was an imperial summer resort of the Qing Dynasty. Known far and wide for its architectural splendor and natural beauty, the Summer Palace is China 's largest Royal garden existed. Day 4: Beijing (B/L/D)
Today you will have a full-day tour to the legendary Great Wall of China .

Day 5: Beijing (B/L/D)
Today you will tour the Temple of Heaven and Beijing 's old Hutong, then flight to Xi'an .
Temple of Heaven : one of the most impressive imperial temples for its perfect fusion of art and architecture. Located in southeast Beijing , it was served as the place where emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties offered sacrifices to their heavenly gods and prayed for a good harvest. It is one of the World's cultural heritage site and one of China 's AAAAA first-class scenic spots.
Beijing 's old Hutong: a narrow alleyway flanked with traditional residential courtyards in Beijing .
Day 6: Xi'an (B/L/D)
TToday, you will enjoy a full-day excursion to the amazing life-size Terracotta Warriors and Horses. A delicious dumpling dinner will be arranged for you to enjoy.
Army of Terracotta Warriors and Horses: inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987, it is one of China 's most famous tourist attractions. The museum of Army of Terracotta Warriors lies 1.5 km (0.93 mile) east to the Tomb of Qin First Emperor. There are more than 9000 statues of soldiers which are part of the tremendous mausoleum of China 's first Emperor has been discovered after two thousand years of their underground existence.
Day 7: Xi'an (B/L/D)
Today you will tour the ancient Xi'an City Wall, Wild Goose Pagoda and the Shaanxi Provincial Museum.
Xi'an City Wall: Located in the central area of Xian city, Xian City Wall is one of the oldest, largest, and best-preserved ancient military defense systems in China and in the world.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda: Situated in the Da Ci'en Temple, and are about 4 kilometers (2.49 miles) south of downtown of the Xian City , the Big Goose Pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. It was built in 652 AD during Tang Dynasty to store the sutras and the figurines of Buddha.
Shaanxi Provincial Museum : the largest comprehensive museum in Shaanxi . The museum exhibits over 3,000 historical relics, most of which are rare treasures.
Day 8: Xi'an – Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today you will take a morning flight to Lhasa , the soul and heart of Tibet . The city has its history dating back more than 1,300 years. Lhasa means holy land, which embodies the mysterious Tibetan Buddhism culture. Spend the rest of the day relaxing in the hotel to get acclimatized to the high attitudes.
Day 9: Lhasa (B/L/D)
Situated in a wide, mountain-fringed valley on the north bank of the Kyichu River , Lhasa is an important settlement for well over a thousand years. Today you will visit Buddhist Da Zhao Temple, embellished with Nepalese and Indian touches and capped by a golden canopy. You will also stop at the Tibet Museum , which houses a rich collection of prehistoric cultural relics.
Day 10: Lhasa (B/L/D)
This morning you will visit the Dalai Lama's Potala Palace . In the afternoon, you will visit the grand Sera Monastery, with its amazing collection of perfectly-preserved murals and Maitreya, Bodhisattva and Arhat statuary.
Day 11: Lhasa – Chongqing – Yangtze River Cruise
Today you will take a morning flight to Chongqing, take a brief tour of Chongqing city, then board an luxury cruise ship for Yangtze River cruise.
Day 12: Cruising the Yangtze River (B/L/D)
Cruise the Yangtze River through the Three Gorges. Shore excursion features Shibaozhai or Stone Treasure Fortress, a magnificent ancient wooden pagoda built against rock cliffs facing the Yangtze.
Day 13: Cruising the Yangtze River (B/L/D)

Day 14: Cruising the Yangtze River - Yichang – Shanghai (B/L/D)
On the way to Yichang, you will visit the Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric power plant. You will disembark in Yichang around noon and fly to Shanghai .
Day 15: Shanghai (B/L/D)
Shanghai is known as “Paris of China”, Pearl of the Orient, city of quick riches. The fast economic expansion in the past decade has made Shanghai the modern city as it is today. you will visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the beautiful Yuyuan Garden . Afterwards, you will have some free time to stroll along the Bund - a waterfront promenade famous for its European style landmark buildings.
Day 16: Departure from Shanghai (B)
