Black Dragon Pool Park

Black dragon pool is located upstream of Lijiang old town about 1km away under the foot of Xiangshan mountain. It is the classic garden building which was found in Qing dynasty, the water as lucid as jade, on the river bank, its five compounds are planted over 500kinds of flowers, their grace and beauty all defy description. It is therefore praised thus"At Yuchuan the flowers of the four seasons are like embroidered brocade". Emperor Jiaqing and Emperor Guanxu con-ferred on it royal honors for its famed excellence.
