Chinese Appetizer Recipe - Chinese Almond Pudding
- 1/2 cup ground almonds
- 2 tablespoons ground rice flour
- 1 1/4 cup 2% milk
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon gelatin
- Mix the almonds and rice in a bowl with 5 cups cold water. Cover and leave for 2 hours. Add milk and mix well.
- Steam the mixture in the bowl for about 2 hours, stir occasionally.
- Add sugar, stir well and let it cool to almost room temperature. Mix gelatin with 2 tablespoons hot water until dissolved, stir into the milk mixture. Mix well and pour into a shallow serving dish, leave it until set. Ready to serve.
Timing: 4 hours to prepare and cook.
