Chinese Meat Recipe - Hometown Tofu Hot Pot
Basic Ingredients:
- 4 blocks firm tofu
- 3/4 cup pork, grounded
- 3/4 cup shrimp meat, minced
- 1 ½ tablespoons green onions, minced
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 2 tablespoon water
Seasoning Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 3 teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon white pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Procedures:
- Mix pork, shrimp meat, green onion, 2 teaspoon salt, ¾ tablespoon corn starch, 1 tablespoon water to prepare filling.
- Cut each Tofu block into 4 pieces. Dug a hole in the middle of each piece. Fill each hole with the filling mixture.
- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan, pan fry Tofu pieces until golden brown on two sides.
- Move the tofu pieces into a hot pot, add chicken stock, soy sauce, 1 teaspoon salt and cook for 5 minutes. Mix ¼ tablespoon corn starch with 1 tablespoon water, add the mixture to the hot pot to thicken the juice. Add white pepper to enhance the flavor and ready to serve.
Timing: 20 minutes to prepare the ingredients, 20 minutes to cook.
