Chinese Appetizer Recipe - Steamed Rice
- 1 cup raw white rice
- 2 cups water
- Place rice in a strainer, stir under water and rinse well.
- Combine rice and water in a non-stick wok, cook over medium-high heat until water boils. Reduce heat to low, cover pan and simmer from about 20 minutes until rice is tender.
- Remove pan from heat, let stand for 10 minutes with cover on. Ready to serve.
Timing: 1 minutes to prepare the ingredients, 30 minutes to cook.
Tips: If you cook steam rice often, it's worth to buy an automatic electrical rice cooker. It makes the temperature easy to control.
