Chinese Seafood Recipe - Shrimp with Lobster Sauce

Basic Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. shrimp, peeled, de-veined
  • 1/2 cup pork or chicken, grounded
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon chicken stock
  • 1/2 tablespoon conrstarch, mix with 2 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 cup green onion, chopped

Seasoning Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon fermented dry black beans
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

Procedures

  • Soak the black beans with warm water for about 5 minutes. Remove the black bean and drain. Mix the black bean, garlic, ginger, cooking wine in a bowl, use a spoon gently crush into a paste.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick frying pan, stir-fry shrimp for about 1 minute, remove the shrimp from the frying pan.
  • Add remaining 1/2 tablespoon oil to the frying pan, add the black bean paste, quick stir-fry 10 seconds to release the flavor. Add grounded pork or chicken, stir-fry in medium high heat for about 2 minutes.
  • Add onion, pepper, sugar, white pepper, soy suace, stir-fry for another minute. Add chicken stock, quick stir to boil. Then stir in cornstarch/water mixture, cook until the mixture thickens. Add green onion and sesame oil, remove and serve.

Timing: 10 minutes to prepare the ingredients, 5 minutes to cook.

Taste: Seafood flavor.
