Chinese Vegetarian Recipe - Bamboo Shoots with Snow Cabbages

Basic Ingredients:

  • lb. bamboo shoots, cut into thin 1 x 1 in. slices
  • 1/5 lb. snow cabbages, chopped
  • cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Seasoning Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil


      Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan, stir-fly bamboo shoots for 2 minutes, add snow cabbages and stir-fly for another minute.
      Add sugar, salt to taste. Mix vegetable broth and cornstarch, stir in the mixture and cook for 30 second, add sesame oil for flavor. Remove and serve.

Timing:5 minutes to prepare the ingredients, 5 minutes to cook

Taste: light, sesame flavor.
