Chinese Vegetarian Recipe - Bamboo Shoots with Snow Cabbages
- ¾ lb. bamboo shoots, cut into thin 1 ½ x 1 in. slices
- 1/5 lb. snow cabbages, chopped
- ½ cup vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan, stir-fly bamboo shoots for 2 minutes, add snow cabbages and stir-fly for another minute.
- Add sugar, salt to taste. Mix vegetable broth and cornstarch, stir in the mixture and cook for 30 second, add sesame oil for flavor. Remove and serve.
Timing:5 minutes to prepare the ingredients, 5 minutes to cook
Taste: light, sesame flavor.
